On Saturday 28 September 2024, Unitarians from across the North-East met at Stockton Unitarian Chapel for the Northern Unitarian Association Annual General Meeting.
We had a short AGM meeting in the morning, during which Louise Reeve from Newcastle upon Tyne Unitarians was elected the NUA President for the next 12 months, and we discussed the proposals for the national Unitarian movement, the General Assembly, to become a CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation).
In the afternoon, former GA President Vince McCully led us in a session reflecting on his experiences of being GA President for a year, and we discussed the future of our movement. It was fascinating to hear about his experiences of the wider world of UK Unitarianism. We look forward to seeing him again at the General Assembly in April 2025!
